This Rose Chai Latte is such a comforting warm cup of chai latte infused with rose milk. This rose latte blends the deep and rich spices with sweet and floral notes.

This rose latte recipe is not authentic. This is my version and inspiration based on my taste preferences.

With a little bit of preparation in advance and simple ingredients, you will have the most delicious rose chai latte.

If you’re looking for more latte options, consider trying out a butterfly pea latte or a matcha chai latte. And if you’re in the mood for something different, a cup of hot chocolate might hit the spot.

    Ingredients

    Rose chai latte ingredients.
    • Classic chai latte concentrate: I used Tazo classic chai latte concentrate. It has a full and rich chai aroma. You can find it at Target or on their official website. I prefer the chai concentrate instead of brewing the actual tea bags because it speeds up the prep time.
    • Brown sugar: To add a little bit of sweetness, I added brown sugar. I like the rich flavor brown sugar gives. You can use any sweetener you prefer.
    • Rose petals: I used dry rose petals.
    • Milk: I used whole milk. For other substitutions, please refer to the Recipe Variations and Ingredient Substitutions section.
    • Half-and-half: For cold or warm foam on top, I used half-and-half.

    See recipe card for quantities.

    Expert Tips and Tricks

    • Infuse the milk with rose petals for at least 6-12 hours: For the best flavor, infuse the milk with rose petals for at least 6 hours, but no longer than 12 hours.
    • Use edible or food grade rose petals: Make sure that you use edible or food grade rose petals.

    Substitutions and Variations

    • Use different flowers: Not a fan of rose petals? Use lavender instead.
    • Adjust the amount of rose petals: If you are not used to floral notes in lattes, I suggest adding one tablespoon of dry rose petals to the milk. Milk will have mild floral notes.
    • Use other milk: You can substitute the whole milk with any milk you prefer.
    • Add garnishes: I would often froth a half-and-half or heavy whipping cream and add it on top of my rose chai latte. Feel free to add a little bit of cinnamon powder or nutmeg.
    • Make iced rose chai latte: If you prefer an iced latte instead, add ice cubes to a cup, pour chai concentrate with rose milk and make a cold foam to add on top.

What are the Benefits of Chai Tea

There are many benefits of chai tea. Some of them include:

    • It may help boost heart health
    • It may reduce blood sugar level
    • It may aid digestion and help with weight loss

    Storage

If you are not planning to make a rose chai latte after 12 hours of infusing rose petals with milk, I suggest draining milk using fine wire mesh to remove the rose petals and storing them in an airtight mason jar for a couple of days.
