Ingredients
2
oz
gin
(London dry or your favorite)
6
oz
tonic water
(chilled)
ice cubes
lime wedge or other fruit
(to garnish)
Instructions
Fill a highball (or rocks glass) with ice.
Pour in gin.
Top with chilled tonic water.
Gently stir once or twice. Garnish with lime or other fruit of choice (optional: squeeze a little lime in).
Notes
Best ratio:
Start with
1:3 (gin: tonic)
and adjust to taste (stronger: 1:2, lighter: 1:4).
Keep it cold:
Use plenty of ice and
chilled tonic
so it stays fizzy longer.
Tonic tip:
A good tonic makes the drink. Try classic, light, or elderflower depending on the gin.
Lime Blueberry Version:
Add a few fresh blueberries and a lime wedge before topping with tonic.
Strawberry Lemon Version:
Add 2–3 sliced strawberries and a lemon wedge before adding tonic.
