This Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini is a luxurious and festive cocktail that combines the deep, rich flavors of espresso with the cozy warmth of pumpkin spice. This creamy, aromatic drink is perfect for autumn, offering a sweet and spiced indulgence in every sip.
Before making a martini, chill the glasses in the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
Make a fresh shot of espresso and place it in the freezer briefly to cool down – for a minute or two while preparing the other ingredients and tools.
Add crushed ice to a cocktail shaker or a jar halfway full.
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice, pouring the espresso the last.
Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds until the ingredients are chilled and incorporated. Then pour into a chilled martini glass, add optional garnishes, and serve immediately!
Notes
Double strain the martini: Since we are using pumpkin pie spices and pumpkin pure, there will be added texture to this martini. I recommend double-straining the espresso when pouring to avoid too many crumbs.
Chill the espresso: To avoid adding hot espresso and melting the ice, chill the espresso briefly for a minute or two.
Shake vigorously: This step is crucial to ensure the ingredients will be chilled and incorporated, and you will have a beautiful foam on top once you pour the drink.
Use the tablespoon for measuring the liqueur: If you don't have the jigger, use the tablespoon for measuring the liqueur. (To convert: 1 fluid ounce is equal to 2 tablespoons)
